Discussion
The TRACE.WRITE() method sends a text string to the current line of the Trace window. This method is useful for displaying the status of an operation and the value of variables. Each time TRACE.WRITE()is called, the Message_Expression is appended to any existing text on the current line. To add additional lines of text to the Trace window, you must send the carriage return (ASCII character 13) and linefeed (ASCII character 10) characters, or use the TRACE.WRITELN() method. If you specify an optional pane parameter, Alpha Anywhere will create a new pane in the Trace window and send the output to this pane. If you do not specify the pane parameter, Alpha Anywhere sends the output to the "User" Pane in the Trace window.
Example
Send the words "Hello" and "World" to different lines in the Trace window.
trace.write(CRLF()+ "Hello" + CRLF()+ "World" + CRLF())
This script does the same as the above:
trace.writeln("") trace.writeln("Hello") trace.writeln("World") trace.writeln("")
